Tiny House on Wheels
General information
Project name: Tiny House on Wheels
Floor area: approx. 28 m²
Project location: Tromsø, Norway
Visualisations: Atelier Monolit
Team: KSA, Diana Tofan
In collaboration with Nordiske Minihus, Tofan Arkitektur has developed an innovative tiny house on wheels – a flexible and functional home for those wishing to live minimalistically and close to nature. The project is adapted to road transport restrictions regarding height, width, weight, and length, yet contains everything needed to live comfortably year-round.
Efficient and thoughtful layout
The tiny house has a floor area of approx. 28 m² and contains two bedrooms, a bathroom, kitchen, dining area, and a cosy zone for relaxation. A smart bridge solution over the kitchen makes it possible to move upright along the entire length of the house, utilising space to the maximum. The bedroom features folding walls that provide flexibility and privacy.
Design for freedom and a nature-oriented lifestyle
Light materials, lightweight structures, and a calm interior in white and natural-coloured tones create an airy atmosphere. Ceilings with integrated skylights offer the opportunity to lie in bed and watch the Northern Lights dance. A hammock above the sofa zone adds a playful and relaxed quality to the small home.
The project is a tribute to the freedom that comes from owning less and experiencing more. A tiny house on wheels that invites a quiet, sustainable, and adventurous life – close to nature and in constant motion. This is architecture that inspires a simpler and more conscious lifestyle.
