A sculptural home in harmony with nature
The characteristic triangular form of the roof structure creates both an aesthetic signature and a functional overhang, providing protection against the weather and creating defined outdoor spaces. Large floor-to-ceiling glazed areas open up to the view and provide a seamless transition between indoors and outdoors. The warm timber on the ceiling creates contrast and balance to the dark façade elements, reinforcing the feeling of a warm, modern home amidst nature.
This project combines sculptural forms with functional architecture and excellent adaptation to the landscape. The house is situated on sloping terrain, and the volume is elevated to preserve the surrounding nature, whilst providing better views from the top floor and ensuring a manageable gradient for the garage located on the lower ground floor.
The lower ground floor houses a double garage, storage, and a plant room, practically positioned with direct access from the road. The ground floor contains the main sleeping quarters, with four rooms, a bathroom, and a laundry room, centred around a staircase core. The first floor opens up to the view with an open-plan living and kitchen zone featuring direct access to the outdoor area facing southwest.
The south-facing outdoor area extends from the living room and serves as a social gathering point, with great views, good sun conditions, and easy access to the garden for play and recreation.
